How To Configure Your Night of the Dead Server

Most settings for your Night of the Dead server are in the panel. The rest are in the server's settings file, LF/Saved/Config/ServerSettings.ini, which you can edit in Files.

Panel Settings

    If anyone is playing, save the world in game first.

    Log in to Bropanel and select your server.

    In the sidebar, go to Settings.

    Edit the settings you'd like to change.

    Click Save & Restart to apply your changes.
SettingWhat it does
Server NameThe name players see in the server list.
Server PasswordPlayers need it to join. Leave it blank for a public server.
Admin PasswordUnlocks the admin tools in game.
Max PlayersHow many players can be online at once, 1 to 100.
Message of the DayShown to players when they join.
DifficultyA preset from Peaceful to Legend, or Custom. See Change the Difficulty.
PvE ModeOn for PvE, off for PvP.
World Save Name (Read Info)The save folder of the world your server plays. See Upload Save.
Autosave IntervalIn-game hours between autosaves. See Save Your World.
Auto UpdateInstalls new server versions when your server restarts.

Note

Your server writes the panel settings into ServerSettings.ini every time it starts, so change them in the panel, not in the file.

Editing ServerSettings.ini

    In the sidebar, go to Files.

    Open LF/Saved/Config/ServerSettings.ini.

    Edit the settings you want and save the file.

    Start your server.

The world settings in the [GameSettings/General] section work on every difficulty. The switches use 0 for off and 1 for on, and MaxWaveSpawnCount takes one of the numbers in the table. The settings for a custom difficulty are in Change the Difficulty.
