How To Set MinQLX Permissions On Your Quake Live Server

MinQLX has its own permission levels from 0 to 5 that decide which ! commands a player can use on your Quake Live server. These work alongside the admin and moderator roles in access.txt from our adding admins guide. MinQLX has to be enabled, following our install plugins guide.

Setting Yourself As The Owner

The owner can use every MinQLX command, including giving permissions to other players.

  1. 1
Log in to Bropanel and select your server.
  2. 2
In the sidebar, go to Settings.
  3. 3
Under Plugins, set MinQLX Admin SteamID to your 64-bit Steam ID, the 17 digit number that starts with 7656.
  4. 4
Click Save & Restart to apply your changes.

You can find your 64-bit Steam ID by pasting your Steam profile link into a site like steamid.io.

Giving Players Permissions

Join your server and type !setperm in chat, followed by the player and the level, for example !setperm 3 2. The player can be their client ID, which !id lists, or their 64-bit Steam ID if they aren't online.

LevelWhat it allows
0Normal player commands, like !elos and !mappool.
1Team and match control: !mute, !spec, !red, !blue, !lock, !pause, !shuffle, !balance.
2Moderation: !kick, !ban, !silence, !map, !allready, !abort, !teamsize.
3Editing ratings with !setelo.
4Changing the message of the day with !setmotd.
5Everything, including !setperm, !addadmin, !addmod, !rcon and loading plugins.

Each level includes everything below it. Players can check their own level with !myperm, and you can check anyone's with !getperm and their ID.
