How To Connect To Your Don't Starve Together Server

Don't Starve Together players join dedicated servers from the in-game server browser, or directly by IP address. You need Don't Starve Together on Steam (Windows, Mac or Linux), updated to the latest version. Players on PlayStation and Xbox can't join PC servers.

Your server needs a Klei server token before it can start.

Using The Server Browser

  1. 1
Log in to Bropanel and check that your server shows as online.
  2. 2
Start Don't Starve Together and click Browse Games.
  3. 3
Search for your server name and select it.
  4. 4
Click Join. If the server has a password, enter it when asked.

Tip

A new server can take a few minutes to appear in the browser after its first start. If you can't see it, clear any filters and refresh the list.

Connecting By IP Address

  1. 1
Log in to Bropanel and copy your server's address from the Overview page. It looks like 203.0.113.5:10999: the part before the colon is the IP and the number after it is the port.
  2. 2
Start Don't Starve Together and, on the main menu, press the ~ key to open the console.
  3. 3
Type c_connect("203.0.113.5", 10999) with your own IP and port, and press Enter. For a server with a password, add it as a third value: c_connect("203.0.113.5", 10999, "password").

If your server runs Workshop mods that players need too, the game downloads them when you join.
