When Automatic Updates is on, the server checks Steam for a new Empires release every time it starts and installs it. When SourceMod is on, it updates SourceMod and Metamod:Source to their newest stable release too. Your maps, configs and plugins are kept. It is on by default.
Turning Automatic Updates On Or Off
- 1Log in to Bropanel and select your server.
- 2In the sidebar, go to
Settings. - 3Under
Updates, enable or disableAutomatic Updates. - 4Click
Save & Restartto apply your changes.
Players can only join a server running the same Empires version as their game, so keep it on unless you have a reason not to.
