Here is how you can join your Empires dedicated server. Empires is free on Steam.
Note
Your game must be up to date to join. The server installs the newest Empires release when it restarts (see Automatic Updates), and Steam updates your game for you.
Connecting From The Server Browser
- 1Open Empires and click
Find Servers. - 2Open the
Internettab and type your server name in the filter. - 3Select your server and click
Connect. If you set a server password, enter it when asked.
Note
It can take a few minutes for a new server to appear in the browser after it starts. Joining by IP always works.
Connecting With The IP Address
- 1Log in to Bropanel and select your Empires server.
- 2Copy the server IP address and port from the
Overviewpage, for example123.45.67.89:27015. - 3Open Empires and press the key above
Tab(`or~on most keyboards) to open the console. If it doesn't open, turn onEnable Developer ConsoleunderOptions,Keyboard,Advanced. - 4Type
connect 123.45.67.89:27015with your IP address and port, then pressEnter.
