How To Install Plugins On Your Empires Mod Server

Most Empires server plugins run on SourceMod, which needs Metamod:Source. Your server can install both for you.

Turning On SourceMod

    Log in to Bropanel and select your server.

    In the sidebar, go to Settings.
  3. 3
    Under Modding, enable SourceMod.
  4. 4
    Click Save & Restart to apply your changes.

SourceMod and Metamod:Source install from their newest stable release, and update when the server restarts while Automatic Updates is on. Turning SourceMod off unloads it but keeps your plugins and configs, so they're back when you turn it on again.

Installing Plugins

    Log in to Bropanel and Stop your server.

    In the sidebar, go to Files.

    Navigate to empires/addons/sourcemod/plugins.
  4. 4
    Upload your plugin files (ending in .smx).
  5. 5
    Start your server.

If a plugin comes with config files, upload them to empires/cfg/sourcemod. Extensions (.so files for Linux) go in empires/addons/sourcemod/extensions.

Adding Admins

    Log in to Bropanel and Stop your server.

    In the sidebar, go to Files.
  3. 3
    Open empires/addons/sourcemod/configs/admins_simple.ini and add a line with the player's Steam ID and "99:z" for full access, for example "STEAM_0:1:12345678" "99:z".

    Save the file and start your server.
