RCON lets you run server commands, like changing the map or kicking a player, from inside the game on your Half-Life Deathmatch: Source server. Your server comes with a random RCON password.

Changing Your RCON Password

Log in to Bropanel and select your server.

In the sidebar, go to Settings.

Under RCON, edit RCON Password. It needs at least 8 letters, numbers, dashes or underscores.

Click Save & Restart to apply your changes.

Using RCON In Game

Join your server and press ~ to open the console.

Type rcon_password yourpassword and press Enter.

Run commands with rcon in front, for example rcon changelevel crossfire or rcon kick playername.

Caution

Only share your RCON password with people you trust. Anyone with it has full control of your server.
