How To Change The Version Of Your SCP: Secret Laboratory Server

Northwood sometimes publishes test builds of the SCP: Secret Laboratory dedicated server on Steam beta branches. Here's how to run one on your SCP: Secret Laboratory server.

Caution

Players can only join a server on the same game version as their game. A beta branch can be older or newer than the normal game, so most players can't join while you run one. Download a backup of your configs and plugins first. We officially only support the main, public branch of the game.

Changing Steam Beta Version

  1. 1
Log in to Bropanel and select your server.
  2. 2
In the sidebar, go to Settings.
  3. 3
Under Advanced, edit Steam Beta Branch with the branch you want to use (the branches are below). If the branch needs a password, enter it in Steam Beta Password.
  4. 4
Click Save & Restart to apply your changes.

Your server switches to the branch when it restarts, even with Auto Update off. If the branch name or password is wrong, the console says so and your server starts on the version it already has.

Click Save & Restart to apply your changes.
