How To Add Custom Maps To Your Unreal Gold Server

Unreal has a big library of community maps for deathmatch and cooperative play. Here's how to add them to your Unreal Gold server.

Uploading Custom Maps

  1. 1
Download the map and unzip it on your computer. You'll usually get a .unr map file and sometimes extra files such as .utx, .uax, .umx or .u.
  2. 2
Log in to Bropanel and Stop your server.
  3. 3
In the sidebar, go to Files.
  4. 4
Upload each file to its folder:
    • .unr files go in Maps
    • .utx files go in Textures
    • .uax files go in Sounds
    • .umx files go in Music
    • .u and .int files go in System
  5. 5
    Start your server.

To play the map, enter its name in Map or pick it in Web Admin.

Note

Players on OldUnreal's 227 patch who don't have the map download it quickly through FastDL when they join; players on version 226 download it from the server instead. Restart your server after uploading so the map is added.
