How To Use RCON And Console Commands On Your Battlefield 2 Server

Admin commands let you change maps, kick players and send messages while your Battlefield 2 server is running. You can run them from Bropanel, from the game console, or from an RCON tool such as BF2CC.

Running Commands From Bropanel

  1. 1
Log in to Bropanel and select your server.
  2. 2
    Open the Console.
  3. 3
Type a command, for example admin.runNextLevel, and press Enter.

The console also shows when the server is up, which map is playing, and players joining, leaving and chatting.

Setting Your RCON Password

Your server already has a random RCON password. To set your own:

  1. 1
Log in to Bropanel and select your server.
  2. 2
In the sidebar, go to Settings.
  3. 3
Under RCON, find RCON Password and type the password you want, at least 8 characters.
  4. 4
Click Save & Restart to apply your changes.

Running Commands In Game

  1. 1
    Join your server.
  2. 2
Press the ~ key to open the console.
  3. 3
Type rcon login yourpassword with your RCON Password, then press Enter.
  4. 4
Run commands with rcon exec, for example rcon exec admin.kickPlayer 3.

Tools such as BF2CC connect with your server IP, the RCON port shown on the Overview page in Bropanel, and your RCON Password.
