How To Add Custom Settings To Your Far Cry Server

Far Cry has many more server settings than the Bropanel Settings page shows, such as headshot damage, spawn protection or the ammo players spawn with. You can set any of them in a file named custom.cfg, which your server loads every time it starts.

Adding Custom Settings

  1. 1
    Log in to Bropanel and Stop your server.
  2. 2
    In the sidebar, go to Files and open the Profiles folder, then the server folder.
  3. 3
    Create a file named custom.cfg if it isn't there yet, and open it.
  4. 4
    Add one setting per line, with its value in quotes. It should look like this:
    gr_HeadshotMultiplier = "3"
    gr_InvulnerabilityTimer = "3"

  5. 5
    Start your server.

Settings in custom.cfg replace the same settings from the Settings page, so only add the ones you want to change. Your server's port and network settings always stay as your server needs them.

Tip

To try a setting first, type it without the = and quotes in the Console page of Bropanel, for example gr_HeadshotMultiplier 3. Add it to custom.cfg to keep it.
