RCON lets you run admin commands from the game while you play: kick players, change the map and restart it. Your server already has a random RCON password; here's how to set your own and use it.
Setting Your RCON Password
- 1Log in to Bropanel and select your server.
- 2In the sidebar, go to
Settings. - 3Under
RCON, editRCON Password. - 4Click
Save & Restartto apply your changes.
The password must be at least 8 characters and can only use letters, numbers, dashes and underscores.
Using RCON In Game
- 1Join your server and press the
~key to open the console. - 2Type these three lines with your server's IP address, port and
RCON Password, pressingEnterafter each one:\cl_rcon_serverip 123.45.67.89 \cl_rcon_port 49001 \cl_rcon_password yourpassword - 3Run commands with
\rconin front, for example\rcon listplayers.
Caution
Start every line with a backslash (\). Without it, Far Cry sends the line to everyone on the server as a chat message, password included.
Once you're logged in, Server Admin in the Esc menu lets you kick players, change the map and change settings with buttons instead of commands. With the LRv3 Server Mod on, LRv3's own admin panel can also ban players.
