How To Edit Your Fistful of Frags Config Files

Most of your server is set from the Settings page in Bropanel. For everything else, Fistful of Frags uses config files you can edit in Files.

fofserver.cfg

Location: fof/cfg/fofserver.cfg

This is your server's main config. It holds settings like voice chat, all talk, friendly fire, rates and logging. Your server writes the Settings page values into it on every start, so these lines are managed from Bropanel: hostname, sv_password, rcon_password, fof_sv_currentmode, mp_teamplay, fof_sv_maxteams, mapcyclefile, mp_timelimit, fof_sv_bot_slotpct, fof_sv_bot_dynamicjoin, sv_downloadurl and sv_allowdownload. Change those in Settings; edit anything else here.

  1. 1
Log in to Bropanel and select your server.
  2. 2
In the sidebar, go to Files.
  3. 3
Open the fof/cfg folder and click fofserver.cfg.
  4. 4
Edit or add a line, for example mp_friendlyfire 1.
  5. 5
Click Save and restart your server.

Note

Edit fofserver.cfg, not server.cfg. Game updates replace server.cfg, and your server only reads fofserver.cfg.

Map Cycle Files

Location: fof/cfg/mapcycle.txt and the other mapcycle_ files in fof/cfg

See Map Rotation.

Map Configs

Location: fof/cfg/mapcfg/

A file named after a map, for example fof_depot.cfg, runs every time that map loads. Use it for settings that should only apply on one map.

Finding Settings

To find a setting, open the Console page in Bropanel and type find followed by a word, for example find bot. It lists every matching setting with a short description.
