Here is how you can join your HighBeam server. Every player needs a Windows PC with BeamNG.drive from Steam, a Steam account and the free HighBeam launcher. HighBeam starts the game for you and downloads your server's mods, so players don't install anything else.
Installing HighBeam
- 1Download HighBeam from highbeam.gg and open the file. HighBeam installs itself and opens.
- 2Click
Sign in with Steamand sign in on Steam's page in your browser, then come back to HighBeam.
Note
If Windows says Windows protected your PC, click More info, then Run anyway.
Connecting From The Server List
- 1In HighBeam, search for your server name in the search bar at the top.
- 2Click your server, then click
Join. - 3If HighBeam shows your server's mods, click
Joinagain. They download first and are only used on your server. - 4If you set a server password, type it in when asked.
HighBeam starts BeamNG.drive and puts you on your server.
Connecting By Address
Use this when your server is private or doesn't show in the list yet.
- 1Log in to Bropanel and select your server.
- 2Copy your server IP address and port from the
Overviewpage, for example123.45.67.89:27015. - 3In HighBeam, click
Join by addressat the top. - 4Paste your address and press
Enter.
Sharing An Invite Link
Send your players a link with your own IP address and port:
https://www.highbeam.gg/join/123.45.67.89:27015
The link opens a page showing your server and who is on it. Clicking Join there opens HighBeam and joins your server, and players without HighBeam can download it from the same page.
Tip
In the game, hold G to talk, press T to chat and Y to see who is on the server. To leave, click Disconnect in HighBeam or close the game.
