How To Update Your Subnautica Server

Your Subnautica server runs Nitrox, the multiplayer mod. By default, Game Host Bros Subnautica servers install the newest Nitrox release whenever they restart, so your server stays up to date. Your worlds are kept.

Updating Nitrox

  1. 1
Log in to Bropanel and select your server.
  2. 2
In the sidebar, go to Settings.
  3. 3
Under Updates, find the Auto Update toggle and make sure it's enabled.
  4. 4
Click Save & Restart to apply your changes.

After a new Nitrox release comes out, restart your server to install it. Every player then needs the same version, so update the Nitrox launcher from nitrox.rux.gg too. If your group isn't ready, turn Auto Update off or set a Nitrox Version.

Updating Subnautica

Nitrox builds your world from your server's own copy of Subnautica. A restart doesn't update it; a reinstall does, and keeps your worlds and settings.

  1. 1
Log in to Bropanel and select your server.
  2. 2
In the sidebar, go to Settings and click Reinstall in the top-right.
  3. 3
Select Verify integrity, then confirm and wait for the install to finish.
