How to Enable Offline Mode on Your Minecraft Server

Enabling offline mode allows players to join your Minecraft server without Mojang account authentication. Though it comes with security risks since usernames cannot be verified.

Caution

Enabling offline mode means anyone can join your server while using any username, including impersonating other players or Admins. This makes your server vulnerable to exploiters and griefers.

Enabling Offline Mode

  1. 1
Log in to Bropanel and select your server.
  2. 2
In the sidebar, go to Settings.
  3. 3
Under Players, set Online Mode to Disabled.
  4. 4
Click Save & Restart to apply your changes.

Security Recommendations

When running in offline mode, consider taking these security measures:

  • Install an authentication plugin to require players to register and login with passwords.
  • Regularly backup your world in case of griefing.
