RCON lets you run admin commands on your Quake 4 server while you play, such as kicking players or moving to the next map. Your server already has a random RCON password; here's how to set your own and use it.

Setting Your RCON Password

Log in to Bropanel and select your server.

In the sidebar, go to Settings.

Under RCON, edit RCON Password and enter the password you want.

Click Save & Restart to apply your changes.

The RCON password must be 8 to 32 characters and can only use letters, numbers, - and _.

Using RCON In Game

Join your server.

Press Ctrl, Alt and ~ together to open the console.

Type net_clientRemoteConsolePassword yourpassword with your RCON Password, then press Enter.

Type rcon followed by a command, then press Enter.

Some useful commands:

Command	What it does
`rcon listClients`	Lists the players on the server with their numbers.
`rcon gameKick PlayerName`	Kicks a player by name.
`rcon kick 3`	Kicks a player by the number from `rcon listClients`.
`rcon serverNextMap`	Moves to the next map in the rotation.
`rcon serverMapRestart`	Restarts the current match.
`rcon say Hello`	Sends a message to everyone on the server.

Caution

Changes you make with RCON only last until the server restarts. To change them for good, use Settings in Bropanel.
