How To Set A Password On Your Squad Server

Setting a password on your Squad server means only players who know it can join. It's the easiest way to keep unwanted players out, for example during a private event.

Setting Your Squad Server Password

  1. 1
Log in to Bropanel and select your server.
  2. 2
In the sidebar, go to Settings.
  3. 3
Under Basic, edit Server Password and enter the password you want, up to 32 letters, numbers, dashes or underscores.
  4. 4
Click Save & Restart to apply your changes.

Players are now asked for the password when they connect to your server. To make your server public again, clear Server Password and click Save & Restart.

Changing The Password Without A Restart

You can also change the password while your server is running. In the sidebar, go to Console, type AdminSetServerPassword yourpassword and press Enter. Run AdminSetServerPassword "" to remove the password.

Caution

A password set with the command only lasts until your server restarts. After a restart, your server uses the Server Password from Settings again.

Admins with the private permission can run the same command from the in-game console, and it also works over RCON.
