Admins on your Starbound server can kick and ban players and use admin commands. You become an admin by joining with an admin account that you add to the server's config file.

Creating An Admin Account

Log in to Bropanel and Stop your server.

In the sidebar, go to Files.

Open the storage folder and open starbound_server.config.

Find the serverUsers line and add an account with "admin" : true inside its { }, as shown below.

Save the file and start your server.

When you connect, enter the account name in Account and its password in Password. If you already have other accounts in serverUsers, put a comma after the previous account's closing } before adding this one.

Note

Keep the quotes, braces and commas as shown. If the file has a mistake, your server won't start and the console shows the line to fix.

Using Admin Commands

Type commands in the in-game chat. Type /admin to switch admin mode on or off; admin commands work while it's on. Some useful commands:

/list shows the players online and their IDs.
/kick PlayerName removes a player from the server.
/ban PlayerName bans a player.
/help lists every command.
