How To Upload A Save To Your The Forest Server

Here is how to upload an existing save from your local PC to your The Forest server.

Caution

The host player starts a new character when joining an uploaded save. Store your items or hand them off to a friend before proceeding.

Locating Your Save File

    Press Windows Key + R on your keyboard.

    Copy and paste this, then press Enter:
    %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\SKS\TheForest\

    Open the folder matching your SteamID64.
  4. 4
    Open Singleplayer or Multiplayer, then find the save you want to upload, for example in Singleplayer, /Slot1.

Uploading Your Save

    Log in to Bropanel and Stop your server.

    In the sidebar, go to Files.
  3. 3
    Open or create the TheForestDedicatedServer_Data/Multiplayer/ folder, then upload your save folder there, keeping its name (e.g. Slot1).
  4. 4
    In the sidebar, go to Settings and set Save Slot to the number matching your uploaded folder (for example, 1 for Slot1).
  5. 5
    Click Save & Restart to apply your changes.
