How To Set A Password On Your OpenTTD Server

A server password keeps your OpenTTD server private, so only players you share it with can join.

Setting A Password

    Log in to Bropanel and select your server.

    In the sidebar, go to Settings.
  3. 3
    Under Basic, edit Server Password.
  4. 4
    Click Save & Restart to apply your changes.

The password can be up to 32 characters long. To make your server public again, clear the Server Password field and click Save & Restart.

Tip

Players can also lock their own company with a password from the in-game Company menu, so other players can't join it.
