Here's how to connect to your Valheim server; there are two methods to do so, one for Steam players and the other for crossplay players on PlayStation 5, Xbox, PC Game Pass, and Nintendo Switch 2. Here's how to do both.

Connecting To Your Server

Note

By default, you will have a randomly generated password for your Valheim server, this can be seen under Settings of the game panel.

Log in to Bropanel.

Copy the server IP address from the Overview page.

In Valheim click Start Game and Select your character.

Press Join Game and Add Server.

Enter your server's IP address and click Connect.

Connecting Crossplay Players

Players on PlayStation 5, Xbox, PC Game Pass, and Nintendo Switch 2 can only join once crossplay is enabled on your server.

Enable Crossplay under Settings, following our Valheim Crossplay Guide.

Using The Server Browser

Crossplay players can also find your server in the in-game server browser instead of entering an IP address.

Set a Server Name under Settings, following our Change Server Name Guide.

Make sure the Public Server toggle under Settings is enabled, otherwise your server is hidden from the browser.

Restart your server so the new name is published to the server browser.

In Valheim click Start Game, Select your character, then press Join Game.

Disable any platform exclusive filter, such as PlayStation™ Network Only on PlayStation 5.

Search for your server name, select it, and click Connect.
