How To Connect To Your Valheim Server

Here's how to connect to your Valheim server; there are two methods to do so, one being in-game and the other being through the Steam browser. Here's how to do both.

Connecting To Your Server

Note

By default, you will have a randomly generated password for your Valheim server, this can be seen under Startup Parameters of the game panel.

    Access the Game Host Bros Panel.

    Copy the server IP address from the sidebar.

    In Valheim click Start Game and Select your character.
  4. 4
    Press Join Game and Add Server.
  5. 5
    Enter your IP address and click Connect.

Connecting Using The Steam Browser

Did you know? You can use the Steam browser to open Valheim and automatically connect.

    Access the Game Host Bros Panel.

    Copy the server IP address from the sidebar.

    Open Steam and at the top click View > Game Servers.

    Click Favorites and select Valheim as the game.
  5. 5
    Click the Plus (+) Icon and add your [ServerIP:Port+1], for example change [YourIP]:27016 to [YourIP]:27017.

    Connect to your server.
